STEVEN A. SCHAET, partner in the Law Offices of Schaet & Hoffman and President of The Ticket Solution Center has practiced in the area of Criminal Defense since graduating from Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad Law School in 1998. After passing the Florida Bar Exam in July of ’98 Mr. Schaet agreed to work for the Brevard County Public Defender’s Office where he handled thousands of DUI’s and other misdemeanors. It was Brevard County where he learned that he had a knack for Jury Trials and Criminal Defense. Mr. Schaet transferred to the Broward County Public Defender’s Office in 1999 where he was quickly promoted to handle serious felony charges. While at the Broward PD’s office, Mr. Schaet honed his trial and criminal defense skills before heading out and opening his own Law Office.

Mr. Schaet opened the Law Office of Steven A. Schaet, P.A. in 2000 with an emphasis exclusively on Traffic and Criminal Defense. Mr. Schaet and his firm has handled personally over 100,000 traffic citations in court and have expanded their operation by opening a separate division of the firm, “The Ticket Solution Center.” In 2004, Steven A. Schaet and Evan A. Hoffman merged their respective firms to create The Law Office of Schaet & Hoffman, P.A. while continuing to operate The Ticket Solution Center.

Today, Mr. Schaet and Mr. Hoffman, along with an unbelievably dedicated and knowledgeable staff, continue to work for the defendants that appear in the Florida court system. EVAN A. HOFFMAN, partner in the Law Offices of Schaet & Hoffman, has exclusively practiced criminal law his entire career. Mr. Hoffman attended Florida State University during his undergraduate studies. After graduation, he accepted an invitation to attend Nova Southeastern Sherpard Broad Law School. During his last semester of law school, Mr. Hoffman agreed to work as an Assistant State Attorney for Broward County. During his years as a prosecutor, Mr. Hoffman amassed over 100 jury trials and exceeded over 120 non-jury trials. He presided over such cases as battery, possession of controlled substances, driving under the influence, misdemeanors and felonies. Mr. Hoffman left the State Attorneys Office and began his career as a successful criminal defense attorney. He was the founding partner of the Law Offices of Hoffman and Sontag, and merged that firm with the Law Offices of Steven Schaet. The new firm name was the Law Offices of Schaet and Hoffman. As a criminal defense attorney, Mr. Hoffman has defended thousands of individuals charged with various crimes ranging from misdemeanors to murder.

Mr. Hoffman’s philosophy is “our knowledge and experience is your best defense.” Mr. Hoffman has been a featured author on criminal law issues such as driving under the influence, domestic violence and illegal searches and seizures. Mr. Hoffman was the only attorney in South Florida to uncover a fundamental error in a particular breath test machine used for prosecuting DUI’s. As a result of his unfettered determination, it was uncovered that upwards of fifty people were wrongly convicted of DUI. As a result, Mr. Hoffman’s client had his charges dropped.
